Cooking with Kids 101: Breakfast

Parent and kid class, with emphasis on how to cook with your kid, geared toward younger kids with a parent. Recipes are whole-food based, plant-forward and nut-free. Our breakfast class will include recipes for:

  • Whole-grain pancakes

  • Vegetable omelets

  • Simple fruit compote (e.g., blueberry, raspberry) for pancakes

 Skills for kids:

  • Safety and hygiene

  • Measuring

  • Mixing

 Skills for parents:

  • Learning age appropriate ways your young child can help in the kitchen

  • Timing of leavening

  • Stovetop dos and don’ts for best results

  • Cooking with fresh ingredients

Intended for children ages 5-12 years + a caregiver. Adult participation required.
