Mother/Daughter Yoga Series

Any woman will tell you she’s learned some of life’s most important lessons from her mom, dating back to our first memories of breaking a sweat, when she taught us how to tie our shoes and proper playground etiquette. In honor of that special, and often times challenging, bond between mothers and daughters, we created the 4-week series of Yoga and Meditation. Join Lauren, as she guides you through a slow yoga flow, perfect for any level (beginners welcome!), including a short meditation. After yoga and meditation, a healthy snack will be offered in the Karuna Kitchen! 

Summer Series: Sundays at 4:00-5:15 PM | June 30th, July 14th, July 21st and July 28th

Back to School Bootcamp

A one week fitness-based wellness class designed to help youth get moving, develop healthy habits and learn tools to begin a successful school year! Each day participating will complete a 60 minute work-out, learn to prepare a healthy snack (and get to eat it), and receive coaching and education on a range of wellness topics such as self-esteem, sleep hygiene, electronic/social media use, nutrition, stress management, goal setting, exercise and interpersonal skills.

Summer Series: Monday, August 12th - Friday, August 16th . | Ages 8-12 years: 9am-12pm | Ages 13-18 years: 1pm-4pm

Strong Body, Strong Mind

This is an 8-week program that utilizes the power of movement as the means to improving girls’ physical, social and emotional well-being. This class is designed and led by a Licensed Child/Adolescent Therapist (LICSW) and Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) and is tailored to the unique developmental needs and issues tween/teen girls encounter. Class format will combine group circuits consisting of functional movements with games, relays and team challenges to make it fun and to build strength, endurance, balance and flexibility. Girls are taught to listen to their bodies and modify workouts to ensure safe and effective exercise. This high energy class emphasizes partner work to aid in building camaraderie, positive peer support, goal setting and improving self-esteem. In addition, girls will learn to effectively manage stress, develop healthy ways to cope with feelings, make healthy behavior changes, and mindfully fuel their body with nutritional tips prepared by a Registered Dietitian. A healthy post workout snack is provided and girls are encouraged to stay and enjoy it as a group. We promote self-confidence in girls and emphasize creating an atmosphere that is fun, inclusive, and supportive where girls feel empowered to reach their full potential.

Two age groups: 8-11 years and 12-15 years. Class will be limited to 8 participants per age group.
