Our approach to whole-body wellness
The name Karuna generally translates to “compassion” in Sanskrit – and it reflects our studio’s core values. We believe that compassion for ourselves lies at the heart of positive relationships with food and movement.
That’s why we’re all about creating a welcoming, accepting environment for all clients. Our goal is to help you find a kinder, more encouraging approach to whole-body wellness.
Karuna’s nutrition counseling services and classes are…
- Offered in-person and online
- Available to all ages
- Individualized
- Evidence-based
- Weight-neutral and judgment-free
- Rooted in self-care
Karuna’s owner, Registered Dietitian Kate Thomas, founded our one-of-a-kind wellness studio in 2019. Her goal was to provide inclusive, non-judgemental nutrition counseling and classes – and she’s built a team that helps her do just that.
Life isn’t about being perfect. It’s about feeling strong, healthy, and good in your body so that you can embrace the experiences in your life. We’re here to help you connect with whole-body health so that you can feel your best.
Today, Karuna is proud to host an experienced team of registered dietitians, movement instructors and culinary experts. Under Kate’s guidance, we have created a safe space for both children and adults to compassionately care for their bodies.
